Your winter / snowshoe hiking holiday in Gastein
For those who want to absorb themselves in the silence of nature, snowshoeing is an ideal alternative to skiing. If you would like to take it a little easier, you can enjoy the snow-covered landscape of Gastein on a leisurely walk or a winter hike.
You are welcome to rent snowshoes from us at the hotel (for a fee).

Over the entire Gastein Valley, around 100 km of winter hiking routes tempt you to get outside and enjoy. The routes are prepared and well signposted, so that they can be enjoyed with normal winter shoes. You are welcome to pick up a hiking map at our reception or find all the information out for yourself online.

The breathtaking nature is even more impressive when it is explored with snowshoes. They not only prevent you sinking down into the snow, but also allow inclines to be conquered to a certain degree without any problems. With modern snowshoes strapped under sturdy shoes, you can also take to deep snow without sinking in.

You will learn the right technique together in a group, making it much easier to hike. The winter sports schools of the Gastein Valley will teach you all the theory and practice you need as well as essential basic rules you should know.
