Your cross-country ski holiday in Gastein

Freshly groomed cross-country ski trails amid a really snowy winter landscape. Cross-country skiing is good for body & soul! In hardly any other sport are muscles and joints strengthened so much while being protected. The rhythmic movements of hands and feet and the conscious gliding along a track bring serenity and promote stress reduction.

You are welcome to rent cross-country skiing equipment from us at the hotel (for a fee)

Cross-country skiing school / biathlon

For all those who are still at the beginning of their Nordic career, we recommend a course at the Gastein cross-country sports school. Those eager to learn it can also give biathlon a go here, laser biathlon is also offered at the Bad Hofgastein facility.

Cross-country ski trails in Bad Gastein

  • Böcksteiner trail: 1,100 metres altitude, 5.5 kilometres, difficulty grade: easy to moderate, illuminated until 21:00

  • Böckstein dog trail Ullmannwiese: 1,100 metres altitude, 2 kilometres, difficulty grade: easy trail

  • Golf trail: 860 metres altitude, 1.04 kilometres, difficulty grade: easy trail

  • Sportgastein trails: 1,600 metres altitude, 1.7 kilometres, 2.8 kilometres & 6.2 kilometres with different difficulty grades (day tickets € 4.00, weekly ticket € 20.00)

  • Kurpark trails: 1.7 kilometres, guaranteed snow by snowmaking machines and illuminated until 21:00, laser biathlon.

  • Sports field trail: 2.7 kilometres, difficulty grade: easy

  • Achen trail: 4.2 kilometres, difficulty grade: easy to moderate

  • Angertal trail: 8 kilometres, difficulty grade: moderate.
